Finniefeirme provides Interested Owners of mares with a boutique farm setting, where they can home their mares and foals, foal down, wean their foals, prepare them for sale or prepare them for Racing and spell them from racing at the one location easy to visit being just 35 minutes north of Sydney off the M1.
Background
In 2014 a healthy mare, Infinite Fortune (FINNIE), by Mossman out of an Encosta de Largo mare, Lacustrine, was retired after 30 race starts. After discussions with advisers Mr Denis Michael Patrick Hanley decided to set up a farm at Kulnura on the NSW Central Coast to breed from her and so the concept of Breeding to Race was begun and Finniefeirme, Gaelic for Finnie’s farm came into being.
Current Mares in Residence
Today, Infinite Fortune has been joined by 21 others from some of the worlds best breeding sires including Street Cry, Commands, Fastnet Rock, Casino Prince, Mossman, Northern Meteor, Rock of Gibraltar, Written Tycoon, Dissident, and Sepoy.
Progeny
First foals came in 2016, Yearlings were prepared and sold from the farm in 2019, and 2020, and currently, there are 7 horses raised on the farm who are in race training.
